Book is of value to kosher and nonkosher cooks alike
One of the pleasures of preparing this book with my co-author Katja Goldman (I did the writing) was my discovery of the great range of modern kosher cooking. Let me amend that, as I now understand that kosher cooking doesn't exist as a single cuisine or dish category. Rather, it's an approach to meal and menu making that is, within it's precepts, endlessly embracing. Cooks of all kinds will find recipes in the book that will delight them, their families and friends. (The Five-Spice Roast Turkey Breast with Pear-Garlic Sauce, for one.) And kosher-observant cooks will be equally enthusiastic, I know. Yes, I'm pushing the product, but I do believe our book provides recipes that are just right for the way we cook and eat today--all of us.
